Southern Willow Publishing initially began as a creative collaboration between three friends in the summer of 2017 as a way to publish a friend’s book. Two things were accomplished during that effort. First and foremost, Jaimie’s first poetry book, The Poet’s Gift, was published. During that endeavor, Jaimie, Jennifer, and Victoria discovered they truly enjoyed working together in a creative capacity.
Over the past two and a half years, they have worked together on every individual project they’ve authored and published. Word soon spread and other authors in the local middle Georgia area began to ask for assistance with their publishing journeys.
Some of the projects they’ve worked on include Yes! That’s My Daddy by Carolyn Walters, Letters to Heaven by Jodi Short, Heart of the Machine by Wesley Miller, and The Wondrous Gift and Advent to Advent by Chrissy Tomlinson. They have also edited and designed multiple other works for fellow authors.
During the Middle Georgia Indie Book Fest in October of 2019, Jaimie and Jennifer were approached about assisting two wonderful ladies from south Georgia with their novel. It was the perfect opportunity to finalize their efforts and extend their services to independent authors who were struggling to find the support they needed to navigate the ever changing publishing landscape.
Thus, 2020 began with a bang for the ladies of Southern Willow Publishing. Not only did they bring Southern Willow to the public, they also published Dirty Laundry by Louise Turner and Wanda Jennings. Dirty Laundry became the first novel officially published under the Southern Willow banner. Saints and Sinners, the sequel to Dirty Laundry, was published in May. Additionally, our amazing clients are scheduled to publish several novels, poetry collections, and children’s books in the coming months.
