I agree- it’s a strange name for a recipe book. Who in their right mind would want a book full of recipes that clearly states they are not worth the time and effort of cooking them? But these recipes are good! They are recipes for things that have been on our families’ stoves and tables for decades. Apron strings have tied our families together through the generations, and these pages will be a reminder of the connection we all have to each other. This book is not a “professional” cookbook. It is a book of memories that just happen to come in the form of recipes. It's a history of my family that begins and ends around the table. Laced with family photos and thoughts about food and the people we share it with, Not Fit to Eat contains a collection of recipes just as they were shared with me by the women in my family who have made them memorable.More info →
